Both adults and nymphs of the twospotted stinkbug, Perillus bioculatus (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae), feed on Colorado potato beetle adults and larvae. Adults are 10 to 12 mm long and mature nymphs are 8 to 9 mm long. Occasionally this predator may provide control of Colorado potato beetle, but it rarely occurs in large enough numbers to provide adequate control. Nymphs consume 285 Colorado potato beetle eggs, 3.7 larvae, and 5.1 adults during their development. Adults may eat up to 85 Colorado potato beetles. In the summer, the average time for development from egg to adult requires about 25 to 30 days.
